Jesse and Angela's first day in Paris

Fresh off the plane and looking great, Jesse and Angela were up for anything. Aurel had to buy some ingredients for dinner, so we walked over to the impressive marché adjacent to Blvd St Germain. Here they are in front of a foies gras stand that bears Jesse's French family name on his mom's side:
Jetlag was no match for the intoxicating romantic vibe that wafts through the air in Paris. We were winding through the Left Bank and Quartier Latin in the photo below:
Jon (aka Jean) in his Parisien uniform:
We found a ridiculous cheese shop:
We walked around Le Marais:
And went to Caroline's favorite crepe shop for lunch. We had potato, egg, cheese, and salad crepes for lunch, then some delicious caramel, butter, and whipped cream crepes for dessert. And with a crew like this, you know the conversation was good:
We walked off our full stomachs, and the girls were getting lots of attention from the men passing by. I wonder why:
We played a game to see which couple slept on the guest bed and which couple slept on the ground. The rules: spot the Space Invaders street art in the Paris streets. Whichever couple spots the most gets the bed. Here is Cam pointing to a Space Invader mosaic. Jesse and Angela kicked our butts and got the bed:
Corner cafes are beautiful in Le Rive Gauche. Check the dude in the all white suit crossing the street:
Here we are on Le Pont Neuf...the oldest bridge in Paris, ~450 years old:
Jon exuding some serious happiness at finding the PERFECT apron:
Here we are in Caroline and Aurel's apartment, with Jesse reviewing the surf
spots near Hossegor:
Check the level of culinary talent in this kitchen. Jesse and Cam are masters in their own right. But tonight, they were Aurel's sous-chefs. Aurel made miso-rubbed broiled eggplant, and a braised lamb shoulder with caramelized jus:
But it was the cheese course that got us the most excited. Jon and Jesse had to be forcefully separated from the cheese plate so that they would still have room for dinner:
