Bizarre sights on the beach

Jesse attracted A LOT of attention on the beach today. Someone offered to buy the shirt off his back. This girl came running up and sheepishly asked if she could take a photo of him. Kelly Slater was running right behind her and she preferred Jesse:

What may go down in history as the most bizarre thing you will ever see on a beach: a group of nuns in full dress. They were stoked on the competition though, and some even ran up towards the surfers as they exited the water after their heat:

Paddy Hannon happened to be in Biarritz, so we told him to come up to our neighborhood for an afternoon on the beach. He was really stoked he did... we had an epic bodysurf session followed by  

a great dinner in Hossegor:

Right after we got out of the water, roughly 7:45pm. We bodysurfed for an hour and half, without needing any wetsuits, and walked home with this sunset as our backdrop:
