Raglan to Awakeri Hot Springs

We left Raglan this morning. Last night's evening glass-off session at Manu Bay was uncrowded and Cam was dominating the long inside peak.

Picked up some artisanal raspberry jam and homemade bread at the Raglan Farmers Market on our way out of town.

Stopped in Hamilton for some Mexican food for lunch. The decor was great the food was ok, but the prices were outrageous. Jon is convinced he can corner the taco market in New Zealand after this experience.

After passing through the touristy town of Rotorua, we stopped in a quaint little campground called Awakeri Hot Springs. It has been raining all day and when we arrived, the sun broke through and made some rainbows over our campsite.

We are fully provisioned for a few days of camping in the Gisborne-Hawke's Bay-Mahia Peninsula area, and will head there tomorrow morning.

Your humble correspondent,

Jon
